The Gilded Legacy Jacket transforms the visual richness of the Byzantine era into contemporary statement outerwear. Inspired by the era’s luminous mosaics, gilded surfaces, intricate geometry, and commanding portraiture, this piece carries those influences forward without recreating the past.

A deep, near-black foundation is layered with glowing copper-gold mosaic-inspired detailing, creating a n all-over pattern that gives the jacket depth and movement. The front remains intentionally understated, allowing the textile itself to make the statement.

The back reveals the heart of the design: a powerful Black woman rendered with rich golden illumination, fractured mosaic textures, and architectural elements.
